I have upgraded from MyEclipse 2014 to MyEclipse 2017 ci; every time i try to launch tomcat7 (not the MyEclipse builtin tomcat server), tomcat runs out of memory. With MyEclipse 2014, i could pass environment variables to increase the memory for tomcat. I can’t set up anything from within MyEclipse 2017 to launch tomcat7. I tried adding setenv.sh file in tomcat to increase the memory, but that didn’t do anything. How does MyEclipse starts tomcat?? how do i set up more memory for tomcat when it starts??

    Michael,

Thank you for trying MyEclipse 2017 CI. Sorry that you are seeing problems.

Here are the steps to add JVM settings to a server in MyEclipse 2017 :

    1) Double click on the server in the Servers view.
    2) Click on “Open launch configuration” link.
    3) Go to ‘Arguments Tab’ and add the JVM settings under ‘VM arguments’ section.

Attached is the screenshot for your reference.

Hope this helps. Please let us know how it works for you.

Thank you Swapna, i didn’t realize you could double click it. i was also able to do it via another method as well, by going into Run/Debug Configurations.
