    Hi All,

Trying out the Example Web Service Project and have been unable to get it to run on either on my PC’s.

I’m running a Tomcat 5.5 server and have set it up as described in the correct chapter of the help.

The HelloWorld App deploys correctyl, but when I try to run it via the Web Service Explorer I get the following error

    IWAB0379E Unable to open http://localhost:8080/HelloWorld/services/HelloWorldService?.
IWAB0135E An unexpected error has occurred.
    WSDLException
WSDLException: faultCode=OTHER_ERROR: Unexpected end of file from server

    I also can’t run it from I.E.

    Thanks for any help.

    Mark Thomas

The installation info for my PC is

Have just realised I made one mistake with this, in that my Tomcat server is running on 8090 not 8080.

So changed this in the Web Service explorer so that the WSDL URL is now – http://localhost:8090/HelloWorld/services/HelloWorldService?

Still get an error but this time it’s

    IWAB0379E Unable to open http://localhost:8090/HelloWorld/services/HelloWorldService?.
IWAB0135E An unexpected error has occurred.
    WSDLException
    WSDLException: faultCode=OTHER_ERROR: http://localhost:8090/HelloWorld/services/HelloWorldService?

I’m very inexperienced at this so foirgive my earlier error.

    Thanks,

    Mark

    Mark,

Din’t you simply forgot the wsdl at the end of your url

    should be something like this

    http://localhost:8090/HelloWorld/services/HelloWorldService?wsdl

    Hi hysterio,

    Your a star.

I’ve now got it to work. the reason I didn’t spot that myself is that on the the help page the WSDL is wrapped on the next line. Also in the screen shots it is off the page.

One other mistake I’d made was to have the Java classes in the default package which it didn’t seem to like. Once I’d move into into a real package com.guenuitec etc it all came together.

    Thanks again for your help.

    Mark

    Karthic,
What tutorial were you going through and at what step did you face this issue ?

Can you go to MyEclipse > Installation Summary > Installation Details and paste the information here for me.
