Any time I try to open a struts-config.xml file with the context menu, the ide just hangs and when it finally returns, nothing happens. Basically, I don’t see the struts flow screen or any other wizard related screen. I have tried to manually create the struts-config.xml and through the context menu…neither approach has worked. I think that I first saw the flow screen when I was evaluating ME ..many installations ago. I am currently using 3.7RC2 on Windows XP / JDK1.4. I don’t have any app server setup at the moment because I couldn’t wait to get my hands on the struts wizard and see what it’s like. Please help…is there still a bug in 3.7RC2 for this feature? 😕

Ok.. I was logging in from work and forgot that xml needed access to the apache site. I hadn’t entered the proxy information for my firewall. I think the exception was a ConnectionTimeout related exception (along with some other formatting related exceptions since the proper DTD was not found). Perhaps a hard error would be more appropriate instead of having to look at the plugin log files, but that’s not a complaint…Thanks for a GREAT IDE.
As for jumping right in, it seems you first need a web.xml for the wizard to be able to generate the stuts-config.xml

you are aboslutely right. a few other users have run into this and we need to informatively let them know why the editor didn’t load.
