Was wondering if it is recommended to use the uninstall under MobiOne over using Add/Remove. Would there be more potential for a shared component to be uninstalled on one over another with MobiOne? There seem to be frequent updates to the program and trying to determine best course of action for uninstalling for an update vs uninstalling to remedy a problem potentially caused by the program.

Good Q, the MobiOne unininstall option from the Programs Menu is the same program that is executed from the Windows Add/Remove Software service. We include that short-cut purely as a convenience. I typically use the MobiOne Uninstall program link to save clicks.
Regarding the frequent uninstall/reinstall requirement, that is coming to an end now with 1.0 milestone-9 released late yesterday. M9 includes the ability to update MobiOne directly without having to uninstall anymore. We hope to put that feature to good use with more frequent update availability for new features and bug fixes.
