kiran20vMemberI have recently installed myeclipse7.1 successfully on my computer under xp prof. due to various reasons i was forced to uninstall myeclipse7.1 manually. After this I wanted to install myeclipse7.1 again but the installer is hanging up at “validitaing myeclipse, Resolving Myeclipse dependencies, Resolving and validating profile” these are the messages shown up in the wizard. It is neither popping up any error messages nor giving any response. please update me on this as soon as possible, as we are going to use this new IDE for our new projects.
Please let me know whether i have committed any mistake while removing them manuallly, I have removed the Genutec Directory and all myeclipse related folders from my drive.

support-joyMemberHi Kiran,
Sorry to hear you ran into this issue. I am not sure what you have done to manually un-install ME7.1. For a quick-fix, you can install ME7.1 using pulse. Can you verify if you have pulse under Run > Programs? If yes, you can do the following –
1. Open Pulse Explorer.
2. Click on MyProfiles. This will list you MyEclipse 7.1.
3. Right click on MyEclipse 7.1, and click on [Run]/[Install and Run]/[Reinstall and Run].
This should fix your problem.
If you don’t have pulse, you can download from http://www.poweredbypulse.com.
If you don’t want to use pulse, please refer our tutorial here http://www.myeclipseide.com/documentation/quickstarts/install/

Do i have to download it through the pulse explorer again. ??
support-joyMemberkiran20v,
Are you referring to the All in one installer? If yes, can you verify the file size and the md5sum of the downloaded file matches with that listed in the site? You should be able to install offline with the all-in-one installer.
kiran20vMemberYes, Im using All in one installer(myeclipse-7.1-win32.exe) size : 637Mb.
As i have told you earlier, i have faced no installation problems for the first time. But after the manual uninstall im not able re-install the software on my system.I have just deleted the ‘Geneutec’ folder and other related folders. Do i have to tweak any registry setting in XP. or
Do i have to download the whole thing again ??
Loyal WaterMemberHi,
Can you please follow these steps to uninstall pulse and the try reinstalling:-1. Run the uninstaller.
2. Make sure the MyEclipse Install Directory has been completely removed
2.1. Pulse Install Directory, on XP it’s under C:\Program Files in \Pulse or \Genuitec, and on Vista it’s under <USER.HOME>\AppData\Local and then under \Pulse or \Genuitec again
3. Then make sure the pulse2.locator file under <USER.HOME> is erased as well
kiran20vMemberHi
Thanks for your patience, I dint realize that the root Gentec directory was in c: drive. i have installed the software in D: drive. After removing both of them, im able to install it without any problems.thankyou once again.
support-joyMemberGood to hear you have everything under control.
