I am getting sick and tired of all the errors related to pulse. Is there any way to turn it off? I really don’t care at all about what pulse offers…

Below is the stack trace, it mentions the user is not registered but it never asked me to input a user, nor could i find any location withing myeclipse. Now all updates fail.

    innohut,
I’m afraid there is no way to turn off pulse if you are working with MyEclipse 7.x. You can setup MyEclipse 6.6 and work with it if your work is stalled till I help you get up and running with 7.1.1

What update were you trying to install ? What version of MyEclipse were you working with earlier and how did you setup MyEclipse? Did you use the All in One installer or the Archive Update Site installer.

I have used the All in One installer from the web site that I downloaded yesterday. I am trying to install it on a windows server 2008 32 bit without admin privileges (I am using a dedicated server that I can RDP from both home and work, and would like to run without admin privileges for security). I have also uninstalled and installed with admin privileges but the problem persists. I tried a core eclipse install and can update just fine. I would still like to use MyEclipse because of the excellent features on top of core eclipse.

    innohut,
Do you have an existing (possibly old) Pulse install… C:\Program Files\Pulse or under <user.home>\AppData\Pulse or \Genuitec sub-dir.

Do you have a .pulse2.locator file in your <user.home> directory and what are it’s contents?

This bug will be fixed with an upcoming Patch we are working on — very sorry for the trouble caused.
