I was wondering if the latest Xdoclet will be available for 3.8.2? If it isn’t can we get it added?

3.8.2 is mainly a bug-fix only release. All major new enhancements are being scheduled for 3.9. We are planning on many xdoclet enhancements in that release. For now, you can update xdoclet module jar files by dropping in new modules files in the xdoclet core plugin and hitting “refresh” in the both xdoclet preference pages.

Just out of curiousity, what specific feature/version in xdoclet were you wanting?

I was mostly just wanting some stuff they fixed/added to the hibernate module. I’ll upgrade myself that’s fine.

Can you elaborate on this? I’ve been wanting this for ages… well for months at least. Adding some detail of these things to the roadmap page would be great since there is no mention of xdoclet at all there. IMVHO this would cut development times even further.

Just a side note to anyone updateing their xdoclet manually, MyEclipse’s xdoclet doesn’t appear to work with the new xjavadoc 1.0.3 being released with the new xdoclets. So if you want to refresh your code assist tags then just copy over the xdocletxxxxx.jar files but not xjavadoc-1.0.3.jar. this will probably break MyEclipse xdoclet generation but that doesn’t matter to me cause I use custom ant build scripts.
