Hi,

I am trying to do update the plug in and always getting the below issue and failing. Can anyone let me how to proceed further.

Kumar,
What version of MyEclipse are you updating to? Incase you are trying to update to MyEclipse 7.x, you cannot do this directly from MyEclipse 6.x since the base eclipse version has changed from 3.3 to 3.4. You will have to setup MyEclipse 7.x from scratch.

What version of MyEclipse are you updating to?

I am not updating the Myeclipse version. I am just tying to update the plugins. I clicked on Help –> Software Updates –> Find and Install.

I see UML2 errors in your error log. Not sure why they are showing up because UML 2 was introduced in MyEclipse 7.x. Can you go to MyEclipse > Installation Summary > Installation Details and paste the information here for us.

Can you give some more information?
1. What are the plugins that you are trying to update?
2. Can you verify if those plugins are compatible with the version of MyEclipse you have?

We are looking for the name of the patch/update that you were trying to setup when you ran into this issue. The subject of this post reads MyEclipse 6.1 but your installation details show your working with MyEclipse 6.6.

Kumar,

1) Did you add any update sites to your installation manually? For some reason your installation seems to be pointing to very recent update sites that won’t work with 6.6.
2) You do not seem to have any particular updates in mind, you just want to run on the latest version of eclipse? If you do, I wold recommend downloading and working on MyEclipse 7.5. If you do want to update some specific plugins or are looking for some new functionality which you think an update will provide, please let us know what you are looking for so we can help you better.
