Hello,

I pretty often, like every 10 seconds, get the popup that an error occurred with the update progress. In the details of the error I only got one word: error. I dont need any updates. I tried to switch off Search for new features at startup. But this didnt help.

Any help very much appreciated.

If this is on MyEclipse 7.0 the update sequence runs in the background to maintain the integrity of the workbench (and is part of a bigger feature set that will be rolled out shortly).

Are you behind a proxy by chance? If it’s setup incorrectly that update sequence can barf *but* when it barfs it should fail gracefully/quietly and it sounds like it’s not doing that.

Could you paste your information from MyEclipse > Installation Summary > Installation Details here for me?

Its on a machine that doesnt have access to the internet. Its the 6.5.1 GA 20080715 version.

Right now dont have access any more to the machine, only next week again.
