We’ve updated our group subscription (which would expire by the end of this month) for another year. The users which are using Eclipse 3.1 + MyEclipse 4.0 could update the subscription information without any problems.

One user who still uses Eclipse 3.0 + MyEclipse 3.8.4 on Win2k could not enter the new subscription information, because he gets the message, that the subscription key already expired.
The dialog windows shows ‘Subscription expiration date (YYYYMMDD): 20060922’. The machine date is correct.

Any hints how to avoid this problem?

The problem is caused by the inability of 3.8.4 to recognize the new key type for “pro” installs that you received when you upgraded. In the short term, I’d return the 3.8.4 user to the previous key and immediately send an email to subscriptions@genuitec.com, tell them what happened, provide your subscription information, and ask for a key that works with 3.8.4.
