johnnycannukMemberI just upgraded to 2.7 RC2 and again it looks and seems to work great.
1 issue, though, regarding Struts support.
I had created a web project using RC1 and all the wizzards for Actions and FormBeans worked great. After the RC2 upgrade, the wizzards only work in new web project not on the previous created project from RC1.
Is this a bug or did I mess something in the release notes…

Riyad KallaMemberMike,
1) Right click on your project root, go down to MyEclipse option and see if the action “Add Web Project Capabilities” is grayed out or if its an available action. If its an available action click it, if not move to next step.
2) Rick click again on the project root, go down to MyEclipse option and see if the “Add Struts capabilities” is grayed out, if it is not grayed out, then click it, run through the wizard and now try to use the Action and Formbean wizards to see if they work.If you already did all this and still nothing works, then please post your system info from the posting guidelines and then run through how you are trying to use the wizards, what are you clicking on to start them?

I’m running Win2k, Jdk 1.4.2_03, Eclipse 2.1.2 ME 2.7.RC2
I had already created the web project like this under RC1 so right now, Add Web Capabilities is not available

It is not available. I had clicked this under RC1 to add the original struts support. Now when I go over to the outline and right click FormBeans (or action or any of the other ones) and select “New FormBean” or New FormBean and Action” I see a flash and then nothing. No wizard interface, no new xml added to the file ..nada.
Now, if I create a new Web module and follow the above, it works as expected. Anything created with a earlier version doesn’t work – no wizard. Another developer in my office has experienced the same thing, with a totally different web project…
Any ideas?

Riyad KallaMemberCan you do me a favor and do the following:
-
1) start eclipse (close it first if its running)
2) go to your project, open struts-config.xml
3) go to the outline view and try and create a Form and an Action (hopefully the screen still just flashes and nothing happens)
4) close eclipse
5) go into your workspace/.metadata directory and open your .log file
6) scroll ALL the way to the bottom and look for the last instance of “!SESSION———-“, copy and paste everything from that line down into a message here so we can see what (if any) exception is being thrown and maybe get to the bottom of this. Thanks!
