I Installed 8.5 today and some jars in use by my project were no longer available to me. I am trying to use Spring 2.5 libraries. I added them using the add library > MyEclipse Libraries option. I select Spring 2.5 Persistence JDBC (Which auto-selects Spring 2.5 AOP , 2.5 Core and 2.5 Persistence Core Libraries) and Spring 2.5 Web Libraries. When I click finish, only Core, AOP, and persistence JDBC Libraries are added. When I go into the build path, the Persistence core and web libraries show on the classpath, but there are no jars associated with the libraries.

When I navigate to C:/Users/casenick/AppData/Local/Genuitec/Profiles/ there is no MyEclipse 8.0 1/ .

I stumbled across a PREFS file in my workspace under .metadata\.plugins\org.eclipse.core.runtime\.settings

The file had springframework in the name. When I looked at the contents it showed the two libraries in question were in fact pointing to the old location. Deleting the file solved the issue; however I am curious as to why these two libraries were not updated during the install. I completely uninstalled MyEclipse twice and Pulse once before downloading the software again and attempting the reinstall.

I had this same issue when upgrading to 8.0. Am I going to have this issue each time I update my software?

Sorry to hear you are running into this issue. I am afraid I cannot reproduce this issue at my end. Have you tried to refresh your project and perform clean using MyEclipse IDE – menu option Project > Clean and selecting all projects? Did that not help? This looks more like stale cache issues. I will escalate this to the dev team members to investigate further.
