Hi,

I’ve just upgraded from 5.2 to 7.0M1.

In the 5.2 JSP editor, when you have the cursor in the middle of a line of text and press return, the text to the right of the cursor came down to the next line and was indented to the position of the start of the original line. This was very useful for lining up e.g attributes, and style elements etc.

In the 7.0M1 editor this does not happen – the text on the new line is not indented, it goes to column 1 all the time.

I’ve looked for an option in the preferences which might control this but can not see anything. Is there an option for this or is this capability no longer available?

Aiden,
What your seeing is normal behavior in 7.0. This bit has been changed in 7.0M1. I’ll ask the dev to look into this and check if the old behavior can be added as an option under preferences.

Great – hopefully this can be readded. Most editors do indent, and that includes other eclipse editors. I find it very off-putting when the indent doesn’t happen.

I this the right place to discuss 7.0M1 changes/bugs/queries ?
