Upgrading from 8.6 to 10 key not accepted

    I deleted my 8.6 installation with out going through the formal uninstall. I installed 10 and 10 won’t accept my key. It complains that it is an invalid activation code.

    Does 10 accept the same key as 8.6?

    How did you un-install ME 8.6? Did you click the un-install button? Or delete relevant files. Please confirm if you have followed the manual un-install as mentioned in this FAQ – http://www.myeclipseide.com/PNphpBB2-viewtopic-t-10277-sid-afa778fef2bac65c50092115fec342b2.html

    In case you have followed the above, please elaborate what is the issue you are facing when you try to activate? Could you attach a screenshot? What is your OS and version? How did you install ME 10?

    Hi,

    I manually uninstalled 8.6 as described in your link. OS is Windows 7.

    My problem is that after I install 10 I try and activate 10 using my existing key and it fails. See below …

    1) I click “I already have an Activation Code”
    2) On the screen “Activation Code Entry” Screen I get the error
    “Invalid Activation Code, Please reenter code”

    I’m positive the key is correct. I just had it reissued.

    I tried uninstalling and re-installing. Still have the same problem.
