support-michaelKeymaster1) What Win OS are you installing on (XP, Vista, Win7)?
Try this:
a) Uninstalling any current versions of MobiOne prior to 1.1.2. Make sure that there are no remnant components by inspecting the installation location for a MobiOne Studio directory. On Vista/Win7 the default installation dir is <user_home_dir>/AppData/Local/. On XP check your \Program Files directory. If you see a MobiOne Studio directory manually delete it.b) run MobiOne 1.1.2 installer and accept all defaults including the installation dir
If you experience any kind of quirky errors verify that the file size is 130,382,240 bytes. If it is a different size then you might have a corrupt installerLet us know how it goes.
mkubenMemberHi – This is a fresh install for the first time. I do not have any other past installation. Any other suggestions – please advise asap.
Thanks.
support-michaelKeymasterI need more info to understand what might be happening. You did not answer the 2 questions I asked in my 1st reply. Please provide the following info so I can get a better idea of what might be happening:
0) What Windows OS are you installing on: XP, Vista, Win7, other?
1) What user privileges are you installing with, e.g., administrator, guest, other?
2) Are you installing to the default location recommended by the installer?
3) To rule out a corrupted installer download what is the exact byte size of your installer file. Right-click on the installer exe and select Properties to see the byte size. Send me a screenshot if that is easier.
mkubenMemberHi –
Kindly see answers below –
0) – Win XP + SP3
1) – Administrator
3) – The installer doesn’t even prompt for that. It just dies after (extracting the files over??)
4) – screen shot attached.Let me know if you require any other details.
Thanks.

mkubenMemberHi – can someone please help out on this ? I’m trying to use some of the freeware / browser versions but they are not helpful at all – I want to see if MobiOne can help out on this.
Thanks.
support-michaelKeymasterI talked to our installer team and had a few additional questions:
What is language of is your Windows OS configured, e.g., EN, JP, other?
What antivirus system do you have and does it complain during the installation process? Can you try installing mobione with your antivirus software suspended?
mkubenMemberHi –
1) The OS is configured with EN
2) We use Symantec Endpoint Protection. I did disable Symantec when I tried the install. Please help!
Thanks.

Thanks for the info. I’m not really sure what is happening atm. Can you do me 1 more favor and send me any log files that may have been created in the <installation directory>\MobiOne Studio\Common\logs.A few more questions since it looks like the installer is going kaput after contents extraction:
1) Home Dir Location and space on disk
2) Temp Dir Location and space on disk
3) Also does your machine have a Java VM installed? If yes, what version is it? I’m curious if there may be some odd Java interaction.
