DinoCrivelliMemberHI
just I have made the update on 2.1 and noticed, that I have no more layout for text. What I am doing wrong? I can’t edit text. no edit color, no font size, etc. If I make a new textline and copy/paste the Text from another programm, it looks terrible. black with white shadow… How i can edit the text now? Or how I can downgrade on 2.03? Please help me quickly.
Greetings

I’m not sure what’s up here.
Scenario:
1) close all mobione tools (design center and test center)
2) Can you create a new design
3) drop a new Text on the form
4) dbl-click and edit the text. Hit enter to commit the editDoes this scenario work for you?
DinoCrivelliMemberHi Wayne
Thanks for speed answer and sorry my english ;o)
I have close all MobiOne Tools and restart my computer. Yes I can create a new design. I drop a new Text and dbl-click and… no editing Menu under Layout.
i can only editing the high and width.should I uninstall and perform a new installation?

support-michaelKeymasterPlease see this little screencast of 2 different text widget editing methods. I would like to confirm that neither of them works in you 2.1.1 installation.

Please share with me if either of these text entry methods (shown in video) works for you:
method-1: dbl-click text widget and directly type in text to widget
method-2: use the Text property to enter new content
DinoCrivelliMemberHi Wayne
I have found a old Version of MobiOne (2.0.1) have a look at the Prinsscreen. On 2.1, the Menu with Fonts is missing . Even also after the reinstallation.

DinoCrivelliMemberHi Wayne
Omg, now I habe install 2.1.1 on a different win XP Machine and i see the same screen like your Video. Everything seems to be ok. Even I have windows 7 with 64 bit. There is missing the font menu. Do you have an idea where is the bug?

DinoCrivelliMemberHi Wayne
I could fix the problem.
4 new installations have does not work.
only when I have delete the “.mobione” folder in my user directory and reset the registry and then started a new installation of 2.1.1 runs as it should. Sorry for the circumstances.
Greetings

Thanks for the screenshot. It gives me a few ideas. My 1st thought is there is some bug goofing up the presentation of the key properties. Let’s try a few things:
1) In the design center click windows menu>Reset Layout
– does this improve? If no proceed to #22) A more extreme action is to delete this directory
<user_home_dir>\.mobione\runtime\.metadata
a) shutdown all MobiOne Tools
b) open File Explorer to the path above, <user_home_dir> is your home directory,e.g, C:\Users\Wayne
c) if you do not see the .mobione file enable the File Explorer to view hidden files
d) Start MobiOne, create a new design file and see if Text properties appearNotice in the .metadata directory is a file named .log. Please attach that file to this thread for our review.
