LemmingMemberHola,
As of today, whenever I try to view XSD files, I can’t view them, I just get a message that says “View is not available for selected object”. The only unusual thing I’ve done is move my workspace directory, but I can’t remember if I’ve viewed an XSD file since then. Since I’m currently working with JAXB this is causing me some grief.
Eclipse Platform
Version: 3.0.0
Build id: 200406251208MyEclipse Core Tooling
Version: 3.8.2
Build id: 200409171200-3.8.2Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.4.2_04-b05)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.4.2_04-b05, mixed mode)Both Eclipse and MyEclipse were freshly installed about 3 days ago on a new machine.
The only plugins I have other than MyEclipse are the Spring Framework, and the VSS plugin.
Cheers,
C
Riyad KallaMemberCan you open the XSD file with the source editor? Its just when you click the “Design” view you can’t see it?
Can you check your log file for exceptions? (workspace dir)\.metadata\.log
LemmingMemberI’m at home now, I’ll check the exceptions tomorrow. I definitely can’t open the files in the source editor, that’s when I get the View not Available message. I’m pretty sure it’s not available in the design view either.
Riyad KallaMemberWHen you check tommorow, also try and open JSP pages and see if that works too. Also try some XML files. I want to see if this is just an XSD editor error or maybe MyEclipse’s install got borked.
LemmingMemberSorry, my bad. The source view seems to work, but the graph view doesn’t. But I’ve not used that before, I don’t know how it got switched, I didn’t even know there was a view other than source! Maybe in my workspace move. Sorry, still not very accustomed to MyEclipse…
In which case, unless there should be something happening for me in the graph view, it seems to work!
Thanks for the help!
Riyad KallaMemberGreat, I’m glad its working again.
