If I enable the Visual Designer eclipse will inevitably crash! I can make it crash by quickly opening and closing 4 or 5 jsp
files. I tried using a different jvm and many different command line options to no avail. However, if I disable the Visual
Designer, I cannot make eclipse crash. Below is the configuration, a clean log and the jvm dump. Let me know if you need
any other information.

We had a problem wth the libraries we packaged in Milestone 2 that caused the VE editor to actually crash and not be able to run, so the fact that you are running it makes me think that is why it’s crashing (Running into these incompatible bundles).

Please wait for the final stable MyEclipse 5.0 GA release to test this again. (release in 3 days)

You’re referring to our Visual HTML/JSP Designer, not the Eclipse Visual Editor project, correct? I believe in Riyad’s first response he might have answered the wrong question. Also, can you please post all the information we request in the [URL=http://www.myeclipseide.com/PNphpBB2+file-viewtopic-t-393.html]Posting Guidelines[/URL] thread at the top of this forum? That will give us some context so that we can determine if this is an installation issue, a configuration problem, or a bug. Thanks.

Scott, I was indeed referring to the Visual HTML/JSP Designer. Just yesterday I installed the GA release of 5.0. If I encounter any problems I’ll post all applicable information.
