Hello,

Does anybody out there have any experience with profiling tools working together with MyEclipseIDE ?
What do you use ? Does it integrate nicely with MyEclipseIDE ?

I need to profile an application running under tomcat. I have some experience with IBM Rational SDP, and would like some similar (maybe just more basic) profiling options for MyEclipse.

Your best bet is TPTP: http://www.eclipse.org/tptp/

There is work to integrate it with WTP, which ME 5.0 is based on now so all of these tools will play nicely together moving forward.

By “there is work” do you mean work is ongoing, or I would need to do some work to do it? I’ve downloaded and installed everything, but from the documentation so far, it’s not at all clear what to do to profile the Tomcat server I’m running from MyEclipse. I’ll keep looking at the docs…

The work has not been done to integrate these projects yet, it’s a longer term plan that should fall into place down the road, but isn’t an ultra high priority right at the moment, but important for us non the less.
