    Hello,

I try to use MyEclipse to start my Weblogic 8.1 server. Just before the servers starts I have to update the config.xml file and to copy some porperties files to the right directories. I was able to do it with JBuilder, but I can not do it with MyEclipse since I cannot modify the start method that is called when I press the start button. Is it possible to customize the start method used by your plugin?

    Thank you,
    Alex.

PS: I use Eclipse 3.0.1 and MyEclipse 3.8.3.

Alex, unfortunately at this time there isn’t a way to customize the start process. Something like this (assuming it is necessary before every launch) would typically be done with an Ant script.

    Riyad,

This is what we plan to do…an Ant script. But having everything done by a single click would be much easiear. The developers have to remember that they have to run the Ant task before launching the server…so you can imagine that they don’t do it every time. Can we image some configuration options for the plugin like: Ant tasks to launch before the server is launched, Ant tasks to run after the server launch, etc…

    Thank you,
    Alex.

This has been requested in the past and we hope to add it to a future release, but currently the answer is ‘no’, the two-click approach is still needed. Sorry for the inconvenience.
