Tried to deploy app to WL8.1 which is running on a 1.4 JVM. I received a warning message to go to the server preferences and check the Security Policy File. I did not specify a policy file because one is not required to run wl8.1.

Older versions of WL required a security policy file if you tried to run the server using a 1.4 jvm when it was designed to run on 1.3 jvm. A policy file is not required to run WL8.1 so why am I required to have one in order to deploy?

You can just supply the security property file with the default one to work around this until we lift the requirement.

Hi,
Has this requirement been lifted yet? I’m running 8.1. If not, where is this security policy file located in a normal WLS install?
Same for JAAS login configuration file?

The default policy file is in <bea8home>/weblogic81/server/lib/weblogic.policy.
