In MyEclipse it is now impossible to correctly configure WebLogic 8. The validation looks for a directory named “server” in the installation directory path and the execution path looks for a folder named “config”. Neither of these is correct. The error message mentions WebLogic 6.

Can you outline (or post a screenshot of) your WebLogic configuration screen for me to see how you have it configured? You can null out the password field if there is one, but I need all the other info.

The WebLogic 8 configuration worked fine in MyEclipse 4.1. Here’s the params:

    BEA Home Directory: C:\bea\weblogic81
    WebLogic Installation Directory: C:\bea
    Admin Username: ******
    Admin Password: ******
    Execution domain root: C:\BEA_Domains
    Execution domain name: MyDomain
    Execution server name: MyServer
    HostName:PortNumber: localhost:7001

Your setup seems to be incorrect. Please have a look at mine, notice that your home dir and install dir are backwards and your execution domain root is most likely wrong (I am only guessing you named the folder BEA_Domains instead of “user_projects” which is the default during WL install):
