I would also be interested in the answer. I’ll be starting a WebSphere 6.0 project in a couple of weeks and it would be convenient if it was supported.
Sorry for the delay, I checked into it and we added it on our TODO list, I don’t think it will make it into the 4.0 release, but with remote debugging supported you should be able to deploy/debug using WebSphere (assuming IBM doesn’t try any more tricks with debugging) but you just won’t be able to start it from MyEclipse. That may server as a workaround until we get full connected support in.
Support for WebSphere 6.0 is crucial to our decision to use MyEclipse or not. Looking on the site I get varying answers on your position wrt to support for WebSphere 6.0, which is confusing my colleagues and casting doubt on the viability of your tool.
I would really appreciate a definitive answer. If it could be sent to nsowatsk@cisco.com, that would be good.
Guys sorry for the confusion, originally WS6 support was not on the table but due to user demand, the official word from devs and management is that it *will* be in 4.0 final. My guess is it will make the next Milestone (3) cut but I’m not positive. I just know that it will be in 4.0.
