When you mouse over the right marker what does it say? I just tried and typed this into my 4.0 GA (internal build) install I have and no error was shown, so it’s possible this was fixed in our next release that will be out Monday.

bad me, I should have pointed my mouse over the marker.. well, it says “Spaces are not allowed before a Processing Instruction”. after I removed the spaces before the processing instruction the error disapper, but, I just took a look at the XML specification, I don’t see any requirement for the PI to be at the start of a line.
    Any information? Thanks.

No idea, as I mentioned it doesn’t seem to be occuring in 4.0, it’s possible a bug was inadvertantly fixed.
