I have a project that was shelved several months ago. When I came back to it, I clicked on a .umr file so that I could refresh my memory with respect to prior work and it tries to open it in my text editor. I tried to find the UML perspective and it seems to be gone. I know that sounds strange but when I go to open the perspective there is no reference to UML. It is peculiar that the UML files that are in the project still show the UML icon but the editor does not open when I click on the file. Following the directions on the myeclipseide help pages I go to File > New > Other… > MyEclipse > and there is no “UML” option. I’m confused…
Does anyone know what I’ve done to my environment?
What version of MyEclipse are you opening this old workspace with? Can you post the details at “MyEclipse > Installation Summary > Installation Details”?
Also, are there any errors in your error log that seem relevant? <your_workspace_dir>/.metadata/.log
