99.997% of the time when you try to update, install or uninstall it just says “Loading Software and Workspace Center… 25%” and never does anything else. The few times it has worked it presented the worst interface I think I have ever seen in my 21 years of professional development. It was so confusing that I was nearly in tears at the thought I actually gave you people money to make it!
MyEclipse use to be really good. Now you guys are running around “fixing” things that aint broke and your interface guys really suck bad. The process of install and uninstalling features WAS simple, easy to use and WORKED. Now its convoluted, slow and breaks more than it is ever successful.
This Pulse crap goes away and updates and installations become easier and less complex or I move to IntelliJ.
Plain and Simple!
PS. Why does the “enter your subscription” dialog popup EVERY TIME I start MyEclipse now? Wasn’t the money I paid you to make this go away? It has my subscription in the dialog, it excepts it every time as valid, you guys screwing up bad!

If you are using MyEclipse Configuration Center for install/ un-install, it takes some time to load. But it shouldn’t take forever. You can alternately use the [MyEclipse installation dir]\dropins folder to install 3rd party plugins.
What is your OS and version? What is the version of MyEclipse you are using? Are you behind any proxy/firewall?
Do you have multiple versions of ME installed in your system? Also are you using multiple subscription?
I would recommend you to open .myeclipse.proerties file under [USER-HOME] and verify the subscription details. Typicall for windows OS, it is located at C:\Documents and Settings\[username]\.myeclipse.properties . Please ensure you use extreme caution to edit this file as this is super sensitive. Do not enter special characters such as enter key and extra spaces.
