I know MyEclipse is a commercial product while XDoclet at sourceforge is not. But because it has become part of the MyEclipse IDE I have to admit that the XDoclet plugin has some bugs. In my version the webdoclet configuration did not lead to a runnable xdoclet-build-xml Ant file in my MyEclipse 2.7 RC2.
Another point is, I tried to create an own template file for JMX support with XDoclet last week. The help HTML files are sometimes horrible provided by the sourceforge main site. So I had to download the original source files and templates to compare them with my plain text file to guess where my bugs are.
I repeat that I know XDoclet is not an absolute integrative part of the MyEclipse IDE but it’s an important part of the feature list MyEclipse provides and therefore in some areas the tool support is very unsatisfying.

    Best regards
    Lars.

    Lars,
Your comments are important to us to help improve support. You did bring up some short commings of the XDoclet support, if you would like it to behave another way or offer more features, please let us know and we can evaluate their importance and feasibility.

I will send your comments up the chain so we can hopefully improve this situation for you.
