    Hi,

I am using the MyEclipse xdoclet support to generate various configuration files, such as a jboss service for hibernate.

This works fine, but if I edit the xdoclet-build.xml file directly the changes are not reflected when I select the MyEclipse Xdoclet dialog from the project properties.

It is sometimes easier to just edit the configuration files rather than use the GUI dialogs so I was wondering if it possible to keep the two in sync.

I am running on windows XP with the latest 2.8 beta1 and eclipse 3.0rc1

    Regards,

    Richard

    Richard,
This is not currently supported as every time you view the XDoclet project properties and hit OK, the xdoclet-build.xml file is regenerated based on the settings from those properties. We would encourage you to always make your edits from the properties page, but we can certainly enter an enhancement request to support round-tripping of the file.

    Hi Riyad,

After posting the topic, I thought well the way it works is just fine. I certainly would not want your developers to waste time on it.

    Cheers,

    Richard
