I read that XFire support is going away with release 7.X?

Is there going to be something library to facilitate WS development for us poor dumb schmucks that can’t do things from scratch?

    Douglas,
Oh god yes, we wouldn’t just leave you guys out in the cold.

The reason XFire is discontinued in 7 is because the project is defunct and JAX-WS is the new standard, across the board, for web services. We are already shipping brand new tooling (the same wonderful “Generate everything for me” approach that we had with Xfire) for JAX-WS in 6.5, and will continue to enhance that going forward.’

If you meant XFire > JAX-WS conversion tools, then there aren’t plans for that, but we are hoping in most cases that won’t be necessary since the wizards generate most everything for you anyway.
