The XML editor doesn’t seem to support using the Window|New Editor menu to edit the same file in two editors simultaneously.
Will this ever be supported?
Which version of MyEclipse are you using? I just tried Window > New Editor with an XML file in the latest MyEclipse 5.0M2 and it seems to work.
It is true that some editors still don’t support Window > New Editor. We had previously restricted this due to underlying stability problems in the WTP codebase. As that improves we may relax that restriction.
