    HI

I have MyEclipse 7.5 installed but it doesn’t set up the Smart XML as being the default handler for my .xml files. So when I right click on the XML file I don’t see the normal MyEclipse options (e.g. for Validation, etc).

I have been to the File Associations preference page and looked at XML file type. It is just associated with the Text Editor. There is no Smart XML editor in the list.

Any ideas how I might fix that ?

    Thanks

    Chris

Just as a quick follow up… I saw others on the forum with a similar problem and the suggestion was to start a new workspace. This has not fixed the problem for me.

Also, I no longer have a MyEclipse perspective. I am not sure when this disappeared.

I wonder whether my installation failed in some way. I realised I have no database perspective. I installed from behind an NTLM proxy which gave me some hassles.

Did you install MyEclipse using all-in-one installer? Can you verify MD5Sum of the installer with the value given on the download page?
Also, can you copy paste your installation details from MyEclipse > Installation Summary > Installation Details?
